Dev update: February 2023
Hi everyone,
We hope this message finds you well. The Zano development team has been busy working on a number of exciting projects, and we wanted to share a brief update with our community. We'll keep it short but rest assured that we're working hard to deliver innovative solutions that will benefit the Zano ecosystem and the wider cryptocurrency space.
Over the past few weeks, the Zano development team has been focused on implementing Confidential Assets, which requires global refactoring and reviewing of the core. We have been adapting all modules and automated tests to these changes and preparing for a dev testnet launch once it is ready. In addition, we have made multiple fixes to the UI and issues reported by testers and made a few fixes with TOR implementation, but the main focus has been on the Confidential Assets update.
Apart from that, we have also been working on a new product line based on confidential assets technology. One of the projects we're planning to launch is a p2p cryptocurrency marketplace with escrow contract support. With the recent shutdown of LocalBitcoins, we believe there's a gap in the market that we can fill with our platform.
We're also proud to share that our community has been hard at work developing a marketplace web app. A talented community contributor has taken the lead in creating a new version that features an admin panel, customizable logos and styles, and supports images upload on IPFS. We're thrilled to see our community members taking an active role in developing projects on top of Zano's technology, and we can't wait to see what they come up with next.
In summary, our team has been working towards the upcoming hardfork, we are committed to delivering cutting-edge privacy solutions for our users and we look forward to sharing more updates in the near future.
