Zano Monthly Project Update #4 - January 2025

Welcome zAnons to the first Zano Project Update of 2025!
As we kick off 2025, we’re thrilled to share the latest achievements and developments from the Zano ecosystem. This month, we’ve celebrated significant milestones, continued to expand our global reach, and kept advancing the frontiers of privacy and blockchain tech. January has set the stage for an ambitious year ahead. Let’s dive into the details and explore what’s been happening in the world of Zano!

Community Member of the Month

Let's kick things off with the first award of 2025, which will actually go to one of our OG community members: Gigabyted!

Gigabyted began promoting Zano way back in the Boolberry days, long before the current marketing team was formed. He played a significant role in onboarding new members during Zano's early stages. Although he has officially stepped down, he remains highly active in Zano's Telegram, where he continues to engage with and assist new users, leveraging his extensive knowledge of Zano's technology and privacy tech in general. We deeply appreciate him for his years-old commitment, it looks like he has an exceptional talent for spotting hidden gems!

Zano Fact  #1: Did you know that Zano is one of the very few projects developed entirely from scratch? Our co-founder Andrey Sabelnikov, along with Nicolas van Saberhagen, even created the original CryptoNote codebase!

Zano has reached 3,000,000 blocks!

We're excited to announce that on Jan 24th, we reached 3,000,000 blocks and counting, a significant milestone in Zano's history!

Block after block, containing fully private and immutable transactions outside the reach of anyone's control, without any major bugs since Zano's inception.

In the attached video, you can see all of Zano's major milestones up to date. Later this week, we'll release an extensive article on what you can expect from Zano in 2025.

Cheers to all zAnons for being part of this journey—Zano is now stronger than ever before!

Events

  • To celebrate Zano's 3M block, we've hosted multiple contests and games during the week and given away $350 in $ZANO rewards.
  • You still have time to enter our Analogy Contest! $400 in $ZANO to the 10 best Zano analogies! Winners will be picked by the community on Feb 9th.

Ecosystem Growth

  • A community member launched https://zanomap.com/, showing businesses that accept $ZANO as a payment option.
  • ZanoX, a community-ran, Zano-only instant-swap platform, went live.
  • We started doing Monthly Metrics posts, tracking important growth metrics such as the number of aliases, assets, and daily transaction count on Zano.
Zano Fact  #2: Did you know we hit an all-time high of 6,231 confirmed transactions in January? With everything ahead, this ATH won’t likely hold for long!

Zano Around the World

Zano Africa

On Jan 31st, Zano Africa held a Twitter Space on the Zano roadmap and upcoming integrations. We engaged the community with an average of 40 attendees and gave away $100 in $ZANO for top contributions. Thanks to all who joined!

Zano Turkey

In mid-January, we started collaborating with an influencer team to increase Zano's recognition in our country and attract more people to the project. We continue to quickly share updates with our community and keep them informed on any topic. Thank you to everyone who has been with us throughout this process!

Zano France

Zano France kicks off 2025 strong! We teamed up with French influencers, got featured on YouTube & Twitch, launched a Champions League prediction contest, and held a community poll leading to the $MBMC Token, showcasing Zano’s ease of asset creation. The poll was one of the most viewed activities since Zano France’s creation on Twitter, reaching nearly 12,000 views and 151 votes! We also published a video showcasing the entire $MBMC creation process. New wallets(25) & $MBMC airdrops followed!

Zano Latam/Spain

This month has been very successful for the Spanish-speaking community. We reached new people and reactivated the previous Spanish-speaking users on our social media. Additionally, we reached out to the most influential privacy influencer in that language and are currently negotiating to expand the Spanish community.

Zano Brazil

Zano Brazil has officially gone live! Check out @zanobrasil on X and their first translated thread explaining Zano.
